update!

Dragon - scuse me?

Passed all my exams!! Well, the one exam I had BUT there were three papers involved, so that is still a win! Working on my master thesis that should normally be completed in August and if all goes well, in two months I'll be the proud owner of a Master's degree! *prays* The job hunt is... going. That's all.

Word of advice to y'all who are planning on buying a house with the help of mum and dad: DON'T. For the love of all that is holy (e.i. your relationship and sanity) do not let them put a penny into your house cos trust me, they WILL act like they own the place. Long story short: Kris is gonna have a mental breakdown before the house is finished. Yes, yaaaaay we have the keys to the house and are currently working in it. However, the in-laws act like they own the place. It's absolutely friggin amazing that his dad is a construction worker/plumber/whatever, but could you PLEASE give your son a say in HIS OWN FRIGGIN HOUSE??

Anyway, the more positive note of this all: renovation is going good! This weekend we're painting the windows. Kris's dad is putting in a new central heating system and recabling some electricity cables so the kitchen can have an in-build fridge and microwave oven. Don't know all that needs to be done, but according to Kris's dad it's a lot. Yeah, he likes to put holes in the walls and change the whole construction of the house. No, apparently, whatever Kris says, his dad won't listen. We still don't have a clue whether or not it's all necessary.

On to more fandomy stuff: I can has my shows back!!!! Eureka AND Lost Girl in the same week! That's a definite win. Also, for some reason, I'm still sticking to Switched at Birth. It's complete malodramatic family drama, but I'm still watching. Must be something I like about it.

Watched the first two episodes of Chaos. It has potential to be really good, but so far I'm not wowed. I'm going to watch some more episodes and see how it goes. But definitely not a show to be taken seriously. At all. In fact, bordering on ridiculous. (a complete international crisis cos a man falls asleep during a confrence... O_O)

Watched the pilot of the new Alphas. So far don't really know what to make of it. or wheter or not I'm sticking to it. The abilities just all seem too much of a convenience. It's like they don't have any issues with it. I guess I'm missing some personal drama *shrugs* But it's only the first episode. Not gonna make judgement till it's good and running.

Torchwood's back. If you can call it Torchwood, the real Torchwood. I actually did kinda like it. I hope it won't be the fuck-up of last season, but it's Torchwood. I tried to resist. Promised... swore that I would never watch the new series after last time, but yeah... here we are. Watched the first episode. It's Captain Jack. Although I liked Gwen a lot better in this one. Shows that Eve Miles is actually a much better actress than John Barrowman.

 How's me?

Me's pretty good laterly :)

Had my very very VERY last exam. No more exams after this, EVER! Well, depending on extra schooling when I'm working, but no more university exams. Still have to do my thesis during the summer holidays, but in a few months, my university carreer is over.

In exactly two weeks we get the keys to the house. The BIGG GIANT HOUSE WITH A POOL! Well, we still need to see if the pool filter works and whether or not the heating system still semi working. Going to have a busy summer holiday. Working on thesis, cleaning up the house, painting, looking for work for after school. Not moving yet. That's for when I have an income. Doing the best summer job EVER: coding TV show characters. I'm getting paid to watch telly all day, at home, on my own laptop. I CAN WORK IN MY PJs.

Not much going on other than that. Can't remember all the movies I've watched lately... X-Men: First Class (James McAvoy OF COURSE), Water for Elephants (surprisingly pretty, though classic ending), Resident Evil (yes, finally... not really my thing)... prolly loads others, but can't remember.

Watching a bunch of new TV shows: Switched at Birth (not the best, but entertaining enough), The Nine Lives of Chloe King (only pilot, but I'll see how it goes), The Voice (love the judges).

GAME OF THRONES FTW ('nough said. srsly BRILLIANT stuff!).

I was watching Camelot, but for some reason basically lost interest over night.

Done with Primeval. Too boring.

Most my other shows are on hiatus for the season.

AM excited that Eureka is starting again in July *insert YAY*.

Not really putting much hope/faith into the new Torchwood. Still miffed that they decited "We're done with the monster-a-day format. We want to be more grownup and have miniseries." (yes, that is an RTD quote) I LOVED the monster-a-day format. And if Jack stars hooking up with other people, my TW watching is definitely gonna be limited to one episode.

Haven't really gotten around to reading books as much as I want. Am reading Neil Gaiman and I'm determined to read each and every one of his books (though not really sure yet about the short stories). Fave author for the moment. Just LOVE his style and the sheer weirdness of his characters and stories.

And that's about it, basically.

*curtsies*

Easy: driver's lincence and a car.

That, and stuff for the new house.

ooh, right, Kris bought a house!!! We're moving in together sometime during the summer :D

and the house has a POOL! (thank god for a boyfriend that's been saving since he could walk)

has a new cellphone!!!

TW John Squee

This is my new baby. A Samsung s5330. has all kinds of cool shit (wife, gps, cool widgets, including msn, facebook and twitter,...), completely worth the little extra i spent in on it (and no, it was not that expensive, less than 200€). kris is jealous of the awesome cellphone :) and best bit, it has battery that last FOREVER! Well, not forever, but it does have twice the battery time of any other cellphone. which is PERFECT as mp3 player!

srsly, cellphone wifi is BEST INVENTION EVER!

AND had christmas present coupons, so we paid even less!

oh and, YES I AM STILL AMONGST THE LIVING

Do you like to hear about your partner's exes? Does it make you jealous or forge greater intimacy?

Well, I have asked Kris about them, how they were like, why they broke up and such, but it was basically more out of curiosity than real jealousy. I was just genuinly curious about his experiences, so I asked him.
